The British Marine Federation was present with 22 British companies at the 48th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show exhibiting under the Superyacht UK brand. Companies included Lewmar, Dubois Naval Architects, Peters & May, Rolls Royce Marine and Camper and Nicholsons Marinas.

From October 25-29 the intracoastal waterways played host to the marine world's best with close to $2 billion worth of Superyachts, boats, marine accessories, electronics and more. An impressive, all-inclusive collection of marine products and services featured on land and in water.
The BMF hosted a reception on Saturday evening, sponsored by Cavendish White, which Howard Pridding of the British Marine Federation and Toby Maclaurin of Cavendish White opened. Drinks and food was served to an invited audience of 300 guests.
British companies hailed the show a success:
Gordon Scott from Summit Furniture commented, “The new layout and arrangement of the Superyacht UK pavilion has drawn in more visitors and clients and given greater exposure to Superyacht UK members. It has been a very positive show; we have more than the usual number of quotations to complete back at the office. It's important for Summit to be here”.
Adam Lay, from Adam Lay Studio Ltd said “Our decision to exhibit at FLIBS 2007 in the Superyacht UK pavilion has been justified by the high profile visitors to our stand from potential clients, to new suppliers and industry friends. Having a base from which to circulate has provided us with greater opportunities”.
And finally Mark Clark, Maritime & Coastguard Agency reported good business by reporting “The show has been very worthwhile for business and we have made some very good contacts. Being part of the British contingent within the Superyacht UK area has helped focus customer’s minds on the clear technological advantages and expertise which the UK can offer owners, charterers and customers within the growing superyacht market.
Giving clear, unambiguous information on the MCA Code and helping crew on their certification issues has meant we have had a steady flow of informed clients to our Stand. We look forward to returning next year."
