Italian Yard Tour

The International Team at the BMF are pleased to announce an Italian Yard Tour
The Tour will visit approximately 6 yards in the Pisa, Viareggio and La Spezia region. Yards that have agreed to a visit include Benetti and Riva (Ferretti Group).
BACKGROUND
The Italian marine industry is a major international market known for its quality, style, design, and competitiveness. The overall sales revenue for the Italian leisure boat production industry is €3.45bn (£2.75bn). 347 yachts over 24 metres were built in 2007 representing 45% of the world’s production of Superyachts. This is clearly a leading global market and an area of opportunity for UK suppliers.
OBJECTIVE OF THE TOUR
The Tour aims to facilitate the development of trade links between the UK and the Italian marine industries. The objective is to familiarise companies with how Italian yards work, their buying patterns and procedures plus assist companies in developing relationships.
The BMF is working in partnership with UKT&I to develop business opportunities for the benefit of both industries and the Tour will provide a useful insight into the Italian market and provide access to key industry players.
