Superyacht UK Design Competition 2012
The purpose of this competition is to
select a student that is currently studying a design orientated
degree, to represent British design talent at the Seatec Abitare La
Barca Concept Award in Italy.
The competition is only open by invitation;
chosen universities are invited to select candidates from their
students, whose current portfolios reflect the ethos of the
Superyacht UK objective to promote British excellence.
Selected candidates will be judged on their
current portfolios.
The competition is an opportunity for students
to showcase their portfolio to industry representatives and compete
on an international stage.
The Prize
A winner will be selected by a panel of
judges and will be invited to attend the Tullett Prebon London
International Boat Show on the 12th of
January 2012, to be awarded the prize, and to attend lunch with
industry representatives.
The winners will be awarded the opportunity
to compete in the Abitare la Barca Concept Award at Seatec in
Italy, an award usually only open to select Italian universities.
Winners’ travel, accommodation and
subsistence will be paid for.
The winners will be expected to travel to
and attend the Seatec Show from the 7th –
10th February 2012 to compete.
The winners will need to provide their own
drawing materials, however paper will be supplied at the event.
In order to participate, students will need to complete the
application
form no later than the 1st December 2011
