Red Arrows stun the crowds at Monaco Yacht Show 2009
The Red Arrows took to the skies at the Monaco Yacht Show to celebrate British excellence in the superyacht sector. The flamboyant display captured the buoyant mood of the UK superyacht industry following the recent announcement of more than 15% year on year growth last year and the confidence for further success in 2010.
Tom Chant of Superyacht UK said: “Following the success of last year, the excitement at Monaco leading up to the display was high. There has been a feeling of confidence from the 19 companies exhibiting within the British Pavilion, as well as the other 55 UK companies throughout other parts of the Show.”
Tim Wiltshire added: “Yet again the flyover by the Red Arrows was amazing! It stopped the Show in its tracks; they really are the ultimate ambassadors for professional excellence that exists within the UK industry!”

As part of the post-display ‘Meet the Pilots’ reception, the BMF International team organised a prize draw for a bottle of champagne autographed by the pilots. The lucky winner was Toby Harris, 2nd Officer on M/Y Lady Christina who was presented the bottle by Tracey Igoe, Superyacht UK Secretary.
Superyacht UK is the trade body representing over 160 member companies operating in the design, build, supply chain and service provision of yachts over 24 metres load line length within the UK market.
