Pendennis Shipyard

Pendennis Shipyard is based in Falmouth in the South West of the UK. Their full-service facility is capable of building bespoke yachts, as well as undertaking substantial restoration/ remodelling projects, or routine class/flag refit works for both motor and sailing vessels. To date the company has built over 30 luxury yachts and conducted substantial refit works on a further 250 vessels. Their home base is supported by a refit workshop facility in Palma and a new service centre at Vilanova Grand Marina in Barcelona.

The company boasts over 430 highly skilled tradespeople and support staff, building on Pendennis’ 30-years of experience. The quality of work stands the test of time, with yachts such as Adix and Adela returning year after year and international refit awards received for projects such as Malahne and Aquila.

A substantial £22 million redevelopment programme was completed in 2015, with three purpose-built construction halls (the largest of which is 90m) and a 7,564m² enclosed non-tidal wet basin providing direct deep-water access to the yard for haul-out, and facilitates short refit works for yachts. An additional flexible 150m undercover dry dock provides space for larger yacht refit programmes, with the complete facility supported by purpose-built modern workshops and offices.

Olesinski logo

The driving force in production motor yacht design, naval architecture and structural engineering for more than 45 years, the renowned British studio Olesinski is now one of the largest independent design houses in the industry. The all-under-one-roof expertise of its exceptionally talented and experienced team enables simultaneous balancing of exterior, interior, structural and performance requirements, allowing Olesinski to create and optimise the next generation of luxury yachts.

The future will see fresh concepts, dynamic architecture, unparalleled interior space and a new level of detail design previously found only on superyachts.

Creating new concepts is always exciting but translating them into working, production-friendly and high-performance yachts requires an experienced intelligent approach combined with lateral thinking. Virtual reality technology allows the team to develop the interior and exterior spaces to a new level of optimisation. Huge advancements in computer simulation technology and machine learning enable Olesinski to continuously develop their revolutionary ‘Deep V’ hull, leading to exceptional comfort, range, performance and efficiency. Luxury materials and increasingly large areas of glazing continually challenge our experienced structural team to find optimal structural solutions.

In this fast-paced industry, forward thinking, experience and dedication allows Olesinski to deliver award winning yachts every time.
