Viking Maritime Skills Academy
With Phase 1 of the Maritime Skills Academy well under way the site has been extremely busy with numerous heavy machinery coming in and out of the grounds.
The last couple of months has seen the basement level being dug out, which consists of a 27m2hole, 7m deep and approximately 4,000 tonnes of dirt and rubble being excavated. The drainage systems have been put into place as well as the formation of the basement and pool. The next phase of construction will start beginning of August where the structure will start to come out of the ground.
