Savage Lighting launches new LED control system
Savage Marine Ltd, leading specialists in the design and manufacture of lighting solutions for the superyacht and marine leisure industry, has extended its product line with the addition of a fully integrated lighting control system for the control and dimming of LEDs: the BOLT 320.
Designed to simplify onboard LED integration and operation, the BOLT 320 is a feature-rich system without complex programming and on-going maintenance needs. Functionality includes dimming of LEDs, lighting scene settings and support of emergency lighting. It provides excellent price-performance ratio, delivers on functionality and does not require specialist configuration knowledge.
The BOLT 320 provides real time scene and mood settings allowing the user to see the exact effects of any changes made to the set up. To prevent flickering LEDs when dimmed below a certain level, the trim of the LED can also be set. The modular design enables the system to be extended as required. Integrators looking to use this as part of a boat-wide integrated system can opt to use the conventional ethernet connection for configuration as well as the available control modules for integration with third-party control systems such as Crestron, Control 4, AMX and Savant.
The self contained unit is supplied ready to install with minimal configuration required via the easy-to-use web browser. Specific scenes can be pre-configured prior to delivery to reduce post installation setup and to guarantee replication of standard / required settings. Maintenance is minimal, units are easy to swap in-out and configuration is self explanatory.
The BOLT 320 is supplied with four 0-10V industry standard dimming channels and features direct connection of LEDs with inbuilt drivers or external 0-10V compatible drivers.
Connection to the switches, maximum 6 per unit, is via a simple low voltage 3-wire bus system and the incoming DC power range is 12V to 28V. Built-in Wi-Fi enables fast installation and configuration whilst the conventional ethernet port allows the connection of multiple BOLT systems and third party control systems. Throughout the design and development, onboard needs have remained central to the product’s functionality and features. With an input for emergency lighting, the system automatically switches to the emergency supply and predetermined lighting scene. It supports up to six Zeus Connect switches per controller and scenes can be programmed for the switches. Scenes can also be programmed for external I/O triggers and emergency settings.
The BOLT 320 is the first product from Savage Lighting’s new range of technology products which fall under the name Zeus. Products within the Zeus range are developed in-house either exclusively by Savage Lighting or in collaboration with leading technology partners.
