The annual Superyacht UK Technical Seminar is set to return to a London venue on 18 April alongside British Marine’s London Luxury Afloat event. Proudly sponsored by Pendennis Shipyard Ltd.

Now in its 12^th year the seminar is well-established in the superyacht calendar welcoming international industry professionals from across the superyacht world to come together to discuss headline issues affecting the sector.

Plus this year, ticket holders will also have access to London Luxury Afloat, a boutique style show showcasing some of the finest luxury sail, motor and superyachts all within the St Katharine Docks marina.

What’s in store

Delegates will enjoy a packed agenda filled with industry updates, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

British Marine will provide updates on important industry matters such as the latest regulatory changes including an REG code update before moving on to discuss superyacht sustainability challenges, including a hydrogen-hybrid case study, the importance of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA’s) in businesses making effective sustainable choices, alternative fuel panel discussions.  The day culminates in a discussion looking at the drive to sustainability and the hidden risks, chaired by Francesca Conn from Hill Dickinson. The session will look at how an increased use of Li batteries had hidden risks which is now causing the superyacht industry to look at the design and operation of the vessels in conjunction with the use of Li batteries.

Industry expert speakers from Mayfair Marine, Cayman Islands Shipping Register, Marine Shift 360 and Hill Dickinson, are already confirmed for the event, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Open to both British Marine members and non-members, if you work within the superyacht sector it is an event not to be missed.

Tickets cost just £150 + VAT for British Marine members and £300 + VAT for non-members.

Tickets include a light breakfast, refreshments, a networking buffet lunch sponsored by Laurent Giles Naval Architects, an afternoon drinks networking reception, plus entry into London Luxury Afloat, which is also being held in St Katharine Docks.

London Luxury Afloat

To support those working within the high-end yacht market, British Marine launched London Luxury Afloat in 2022, tailored particularly to prospective buyers in this sector and to boost prospects at the start of the season.

Some of the finest luxury yachts will be taking centre stage at this year’s show with British luxury sailing yachts builder, Oyster Yachts and performance motor yacht brand, Sunseeker already confirmed and even more incredible yachts set to join the line-up, which will be revealed in the coming weeks.  Shoreside there will be a selection of exhibitors featuring smaller craft and complimentary products and services and ticket holders can also take advantage of exclusive waterside hospitality on the floating bar and lounge.
