Peters & May Foundation raises £10,000
Newly established Peters & May Foundation host successful Annual Charity Clay Shoot at Pennsport in Thatcham, Berkshire raising over £10,000 for charities.
The Peters & May Foundation was launched earlier this year. Last week, the first big event to raise money for charities supported by the Foundation was a great success.
A high-profile event, over 70 guests attended the Charity Shoot held on the Friday 7th June 2019. The day started with the arrival of guests coming from all over the UK and across the world. With a full morning of shooting ahead of them, participants enjoyed a hearty breakfast before heading out to 8 different shooting stands all of varying difficulty. Teams included Sunseeker London, Clear Sphere and All Seasons Climate Control amongst others.
The Peters & May Foundation were fortunate enough to have the support of teams, as well as a long list of sponsors and partners for the event. As Gold Sponsor of the Peters & May Foundation Annual Clay Shoot, lifting and safety equipment provider, Delphini were committed to supporting the charity event. In addition to this, the Peters & May Foundation, would like to thank sponsors such as Yacht Insurance Company Pantaenius and shipping company Normed. Other partners to the event exhibited with the likes of Foxdenton Gin, Eley Hawk and Wine, Words and Wisdom all having stands that shooters and guests visited during refreshment breaks.
It was Peters & May who took the title of winner, achieving 467 points. In second place was Constantine, followed by Sunseeker Monaco in third place. Winners were announced and trophies awarded following a gourmet BBQ lunch.. All in aid of raising money, proceedings for the day were also raised through an auction. Partners and supporters of the charity generously donated prizes including an ‘All-Inclusive Week in the Maldives’ donated by Alpha Maldives and a week’s stay at a Luxury Ski Chalet.
David Holley and Simon Judson, trustees of the Peters & May Foundation were in attendance at the event. David commented; “This was a big event for the Peters & May Foundation, having established the charity earlier this year we wanted to raise as much money as possible. The Peters & May Foundation was established to raise awareness for some fantastic causes that are all close to the trustee’s hearts. It was a great day supported by many. All the trustees are looking forward to the next event.”
