Coronavirus change of work patterns for SeaSystems (UK)
We have built up three main threads to our superyacht technical services business internationally over the last 11 years, and are adapting them now to working from our home base in Falmouth, UK.
Troubleshooting: of electrical and electronic control systems for superyachts in Spain, France and Italy, specialising in Alarm and Monitoring Systems, and electrical control system problems. We now support our fleet of almost 100 previous superyachts clients remotely by email, Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp conference calls, bringing in other expertise as needed.
Training: 4-day classroom training courses, entitled ‘Electrical Control Systems for superyacht engineers and ETOs’ (now in its third year). We are currently working towards converting our courses to be accessed online; this is naturally a lot of work and will take some months, but we are determined to succeed to help young engineers improve their knowledge, skill and earning power by this new channel – watch this space at www.SeaSystems.co/training
Design: complete electrical DC & AC system integrated designs, plus integrated navigation and communications systems for smaller yachts (42-75 feet). From initial spec to series production, we are able to work almost entirely remotely from our Falmouth UK base, to create technical system designs with full CAD files and bill of materials, using latest products and technology for your boat, enhanced by 11 years’ experience of troubleshooting superyacht systems.
