A+T lock-down tips
Richard & Hugh, founders A+T Instrument Ltd, write: “We are lucky to work in the yachting industry in which many of us are used to unexpected situations and to being reliant on others around us keeping cool heads when these problems arise.
“We are providing full support, have plenty of stock and are shipping to all parts of the world including a new complete system (ethernet based) for a full-on race boat shipped last week.
“Financially A+T is in good shape. The UK government is doing a good job providing support, which is not the case in many other countries. We appreciate that we are lucky here.
“Thank you for your continuing support.”
Planning and small interim upgrades
Some yachts are in lockdown with crew aboard. Small upgrades of displays, junction boxes & wiring could be carried out by the crew now, so let us know if you would like us to look at this. Send us photographs of broken or damaged displays and we will let you know if we can repair these or change out for new ones.
It could also be a good time to plan for the future. If you can send us drawings of your existing system, or failing that a good series of photographs with some notes, then we can create a drawing of what a potential upgrade would look like and outline costs 9see example above). These are likely to be much less then you think as wiring, sensors and good displays do not need to be changed.
Instructional Videos
We have had long in plan to produce a series of videos on instrumentation. Here is link to first one which is really the basics. We will to get further ones out shortly week dealing with various aspects of troubleshooting and calibration
