A+T ATP1 Processor launched
A+T Instruments Ltd has launched its new marine instrument processor, ATP1, which completes its established range of high-end instruments and displays aimed at Superyachts and Grand Prix race yachts.
The product is aimed at the refit market allowing yachts with B&G H2000 and H3000 systems to upgrade processors while keeping existing wiring, displays and sensors. Any mixture of legacy B&G and new A+T replacement displays can be supported and then changed out over time.
The performance is higher than any comparable option while the ‘stepwise’ upgrade approach makes this very cost effective. Early orders and quotes are from larger yachts such as Wallys and Perini Navis where high specification and service is required and the cost of a complete ‘take out and start again’ would be prohibitive. A development of this processor is also under way for the new-build market and 2018 will see a Grand Prix version released with very high level performance and enhanced sensors.
Now in their third year of operation, A+T equipment has been very well received by the large yacht market. At St Barth’s Bucket in 2017 over a third of entries had some A+T equipment onboard and at the Maxi worlds in Sardinia, September, 2017 that number was 25%.
“Having been a lifelong user of B&G it was a big decision to start using A+T. Having started the changeover I could not be happier. They seamlessly work with the B&G we have onboard and I am happy to start the process of upgrade all over the yacht. Congratulations. A product that really works.” Mark Stevens, Captain SY Red Dragon, 52m
